FEEDING

THE SCIENTIFICALLY-ADAPTED FEEDING PATTERN

The scientifically-adapted feeding pattern will be composed of a daily ration of GERM fodder combined with traditional feeding. In general, the GERM fresh fodder represents about one third of the scientifically-adapted feeding pattern, while traditional feeding counts for about two thirds. However, these proportions may vary according to specific situations. Each project is a specific one, and the precise scientific feeding pattern (combining a ration of GERM green fodder and traditional feeding) should therefore be determined by a qualified zootechnician, who will take into account all parameters (species, breeds, environment factors, etc.), principally in order to increase performances.

The GERM green fodder and the traditional feeding will play very different roles in the scientific feeding pattern.

The GERM green grass plays an essential role in optimizing zootechnical performances: increase of milk production, acceleration of fattening process, better reproductive performances, higher resistance to disease, etc.  These optimal zootechnical performances can be explained by the particularly high content of vitamins, proteins and carbohydrates in the highly nutritive GERM green grass that is given daily, all year through.

Zootechnicians, veterinarians, agronomists, agricultural engineers and other specialists in animal feeding recognize the merits of the GERM technology developed by AGROTECH BELGIUM, the superior quality of the green fodder and its capacity to optimize zootechnical performances.

The role of traditional feeding in the scientifically-adapted feeding pattern is principally to fill the stomach of the animal by giving weight and volume to the feed intake.  Traditional feeding could be pasture grass, dry grass, concentrates, clover, pulp of sugar-beet, etc. Traditional feeding is selected according to the local availability, the local cost and the purpose (e.g. milk or meat production).

We will provide you with all our expertise and advise you properly about an efficient feeding pattern for your cattle.  We could also cooperate with your zootechnician therefore.
